Teach and Do
Titus 2
Paul wrote to Titus after leaving him in Crete:
“For this reason I left you in Crete, that you should set in order the things that are lacking, and appoint elders in every city as I commanded you” (Titus 1:5, NKJV)
- “to set right what was left undone” (CSB)
“Where there is no vision, the people perish” (Proverbs 29:18, KJV)
- “people run wild” (CSB)
- We need to Teach Consistently (Titus 2:1-5)
- Commanded to teach.
- What do false teachers teach?
- “Sound doctrine.” (v. 1)
- Where does wisdom come from?
- How are we to teach?
- We need to Teach Encouragingly (Titus 2:6-8)
- Be an encourager through your Prayer.
- Be an encourager through your Presence.
- Be an encourager through your Actions.
- Be an encourager through your Words.
- Be an encourager through your Today.
- We need to Teach Submissively (Titus 2:9-10)
- Work is a gift.
- Set an example through hard work.
- We need to Set an Example (Titus 2:11-15)
- Do the good work of God.
- Do the work He calls us to.
- Teach as you go.
