"Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing."
1 Thessalonians 5:11
At Slackland Baptist Church, we have a simple hope: to see people come to know Jesus Christ and grow in their Christian faith. Our ministries come in all shapes and sizes. Please come and join us for worship.
Children Ministry
Children’s Ministry is devoted to nurturing the spiritual growth and development of our youngest members. We provide a safe, loving, and fun environment where children can learn about God’s love, grow in their faith, and build lasting friendships. From Sunday School to Vacation Bible School (VBS) our programs are designed to engage children through age-appropriate teachings, activities, and experiences that make learning about God exciting and meaningful. Children Ministry opportunities are available Sunday morning at 9:45am and Wednesday nights at 6:30pm. VBS every summer!
Youth Ministry
Youth Ministry is dedicated to guiding and empowering young people in their spiritual journey by providing a supportive community where they can learn what it means to KNOW and GROW in Christ and can GO for Christ by being involved in community outreach and service opportunities that allow us to live out our faith in practical ways and make a difference in the lives of others. Youth Group for grades 6-12, meets every Wednesday night at 6:30pm. Dinner is available at 6:00pm. Youth also meet Sunday mornings at 9:45am.
Brotherhood
Women’s Missionary Union (WMU)
Ladies ministry provides opportunities for women to get together for worship and community outreach. The Slackland Ladies work through the Women’s Missionary Union of the SBC. The focus of WMU is making disciples of Jesus who live on mission. The work of these ladies, through the cooperation of the WMU, extends the missions reach of the local church to help spread the news of Jesus to our community and the world. Women’s ministry meets the second Tuesday of each month at 10:30am and again at 6:00pm.
Sunday School
We believe in the power of community and faith. Our Sunday School program is designed to bring together people of all ages to learn, grow, and connect through the teachings of the Bible. Each week, we offer engaging and age-appropriate lessons that cater to children, teens, and adults. We also offer a Special Needs Adult class for adults with learning disabilities. Our goal is to create a welcoming environment where everyone can explore their faith, ask questions, and find support. Join us every Sunday at 9:45am. Whether you’re a long-time member or new to our church, we invite you to be a part of our Sunday School and experience the joy of learning and growing together.

Men’s ministry provides opportunities for men to get together for Bible study, fellowship and community outreach. Whether we are getting together for a project or prayer breakfast our mission is to grow in our faith and to build strong relationships with our friends and community. Men’s ministry meets for Fellowship Breakfast the third Saturday of each month at 8:00am and second Tuesday of each month at 6:00pm for Taco Tuesday.
