“Then King David went in and sat before the Lord; and he said: ‘Who am I, O Lord God? And what is my house, that You have brought me this far? And yet this was a small thing in Your sight, O Lord God; and You have also spoken of Your servant’s house for a great while to come. Is this the manner of man, O Lord God? Now what more can David say to You? For You, Lord God, know Your servant. For Your word’s sake, and according to Your own heart, You have done all these great things, to make Your servant know them. Therefore You are great, O Lord God. For there is none like You, nor is there any God besides You, according to all that we have heard with our ears.’” (2 Samuel 7:18-22)
Who am I? Have you ever asked God that question? Who am I that He would love me so much? Who am I that He would forgive me of my sin, that He would leave heaven and come to earth to become the ultimate sacrifice for me?
Have you ever prayed a prayer of thanksgiving without asking God for anything? A prayer that praises Jesus for who He is and the love He gives and the love He is. A prayer that thanks Him for the little things He has done for you along with the big things. Have you ever praised Him for the things that you didn’t like along with the things you did? The bad and the good.
Who am I Lord that You would love me? Thank you for bringing me this far and thank you for the future You have planned for me. You know me Lord and I thank you for the great things You continue to show me. Thank you for Your love. Thank you for Your grace and for saving me from my sin. There is no one like You, and there is no God besides You. Amen.
See you Sunday Church! I thank God for you!

Excellent devotion brother Jay. I am reading through the Bible in a year and I have been in 2nd Samuel all week. It has spoken to me so much reading about King David and what the LORD did for him. Even though he committed some big sins ( at least in our definition), the LORD still took care of him. It made me realize how short I fall in my everyday life but the LORD still takes care of me. Even though we may be in different churches on Sunday, we will be singing praises to the same GOD who loves us both. Keep the faith !
