• Darkness
• Death

CONTEMPTABLE (v. 11-12)

• Rebelled against God’s Word
• Despised God’s counsel
• Fell down

CRY OUT (v. 13)

• In their trouble
• In their distress

CHAINS & GATES BROKEN (v. 13b-14, 16)

• Chains in pieces
• Bars in two

 “Oh, that men would give thanks to the LORD for His goodness, And for His wonderful works to the children of men! For He has broken the gates of bronze, And cut the bars of iron in two.” (Psalm 107:15-16)
