“But I will sing of your strength and will joyfully proclaim your faithful love in the morning. For you have been a stronghold for me, a refuge in my day of trouble.” (Psalms 59:16 CSB)
God deserves your early praise.
When you give God the first of anything you receive, He will always bless the rest. You can see this most in tithing. By giving God 10 percent of all money that you receive you allow Him to bless the 90 percent you keep.
The same goes for your morning. When you give God the first minutes of your day with devotion and prayer He will bless the rest of your day. I have to say that I don’t always get this one right. A lot of mornings when I wake up, email or social media is the first thing I check. Many times, I’m running late and simply rush through my devotional and prayer time with the Lord. But Jesus never removes His hand from me. When the day brings unexpected things, I can always find comfort in Him. No matter how good or bad you may treat Him, God’s love for you and towards you will never change.
Be sure you take time every morning and schedule dedicated time to spend with the Lord and show Him how much you love Him. Give Him the first of your most precious commodity in life. Your time.
Show Him that the least you can do is sing of His praises before you start anything or see anyone else. Don’t wait until something goes wrong or the day has come to an end. God deserves more than being an second thought or a 911 call for help.
God wants you to live your life to the fullest by being a part of it. So, give to Him first.
I love you church! See you soon!
