“Continue earnestly in prayer, being vigilant in it with thanksgiving; meanwhile praying also for us, that God would open to us a door for the word, to speak the mystery of Christ, for which I am also in chains, that I may make it manifest, as I ought to speak. Walk in wisdom toward those who are outside, redeeming the time. Let your speech always be with grace, seasoned with salt, that you may know how you ought to answer each one.” (Colossians 4:2-6)
How often do you pray? We frequently wonder what God has planned for our lives however we rarely spend time with Him to receive direction and guidance. Not only that, but we forget to thank Him for the blessings He is giving us right now.
What do you pray for? We ask Christ for many things but how often do we ask Him for opportunity to share His word with others? I believe He gives us plenty of opportunities we just miss them because we are not always paying attention and we miss them when they come. Doors open but because we are not devoted to prayer, we miss the chance to share God’s word.
Let’s change that today. Pray throughout the day that Christ would give us open doors to share His gospel. Pray that He would open our eyes to opportunities to communicate His message with others and that our words would be His words, seasoned in such a way that they would be the answer that others need to hear.
His answer.
